Applications
Disposable masks are used when there may be harmful particles in the atmosphere, such as dust. They protect the user by filtering the air before it can be breathed through the nose and mouth. Protective equipment can be used with filters of different classifications depending on the challenges of the environment. Disposable face masks are a common and effective solution for respiratory protection suitable for a wide variety of tasks, such as:
• Carpentry and construction
• decoration and DIY
• Laboratory and manufacturing
What lifespan does a disposable mask offer?
These masks have a useful life of approximately 8 hours or until they make breathing difficult.
Are there differences between the FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 protection levels?
According to the EN 149:2001 standard, it offers three different levels of protection. FFP3 level offers maximum protection compared to FFP2 and FFP1 levels.
FFP1 Protects against low levels of dust, as well as liquid and solid aerosols. Filters at least 80% of particles, with a maximum leakage amount of 25%. It is used in the construction and food processing industries.
FFP2 Protects against moderate levels of dust, as well as liquid and solid aerosols. They provide more protection than the FFP1 level. Filters at least 94% of particles, with a maximum leakage amount of 11%. It is used in the metal, medical, mining and construction sectors for plastering and sanding work.
FFP3 Protects against high levels of dust, as well as liquid and solid aerosols. They provide more protection than the FFP1 level. Filters at least 99% of particles, with a maximum leakage amount of 5%. It is used in the medical and chemical sector.
