The gas meter is a device for desktops. The gas meter measures the concentration of CO2 in the air and displays the value on the large LCD screen. The concentration of CO2 in the air is an important parameter to control ventilation in offices, classrooms, auditoriums, etc. The gas meter helps, for example, so that office staff can ventilate regularly. The device checks air quality through CO2 concentration. When the CO2 concentration is less than 1000 ppm, it can be said that the air quality is good. Good air quality encourages concentration. It also ensures that the concentration of aerosols in the air is low, as the aerosols will be regularly mixed with fresh air. The meter indicates the air quality as a number value and as a graph with the colors green, yellow and red. By pressing a key you can view the CO2 concentration of the last 5 hours on the screen. This gas meter is additionally equipped with a sensor to measure ambient temperature and humidity.
CO2 meters with sensors to control air quality are subject to different requirements than those used in industrial applications or scientific laboratories. That is why more importance is given to sensor properties, such as high long-term stability, low maintenance and low power consumption. The NDIR sensor of the gas meter meets such requirements. The non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor enables accurate and stable long-term measurements with an absolute measurement range of up to 5000 ppm.
