In agriculture, soil quality control is extremely important for healthy crop growth.

The pH measurement allows selecting the most suitable crops according to the type of soil, the most suitable fertilizers and corrects any anomalies. The HANNA instruments kits allow not only to analyze the pH, but also nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, the three main elements that determine the quality and productivity of the soil.

The HI3895 and HI3896 combined agricultural kits are very easy to use: the soil sample, diluted in water, reacts with the chemical reagent supplied in the kit. The result is a colored solution that is compared with the reference table included, in order to determine the concentration of the substance (high, medium or low). For pH, the table reproduces 6 colors, from pH 4 to pH 9. The HI3896 professional kit is supplied with an extraction solution that facilitates the precipitation of suspended solids so that the measurement can be carried out immediately.
